Accomodations & Training Site

Students are housed at the NC State Highway Patrol Training Academy, located at 3318 Garner Road.

Students are assigned two people to a room. Dorm rooms will remain open for those who choose to stay in Raleigh over the weekends.

You may check into your room between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on the Tuesday before the start date of AOMP on Wednesday. Please visit the AOMP Orientation page for current session information.

The cafeteria is in Building #8 and provides the following meal times:
Breakfast from 7:00-8:00AM
Lunch from 11:30AM-1:00PM
Dinner from 4:45-5:45PM.

Photo of two students in a dorm roomThe cafeteria closes after lunch on Friday. If you plan to spend weekends at the Training Center, you will have to make arrangements for your weekend meals.

The Center has gym facilities, a weight room, and a track. AOMP students receive linens and towels, and can use the small refrigerator in the Lambert Building. Laundry service is available at a cost through the Highway Patrol Training facility, but students have sometimes opted to use commercial laundromats.

Wake Co. Sheriff’s Training Academy
AOMP Classes are held at the Wake Co. Sheriff’s Training Academy, located at 2434 Garner Road, Raleigh, NC 27610.
